A Canadian Immigrant’s Story

Immigrant Circle Blog Star Series 8

I relocated with my wife and 2 children in 2016 and I settled down quite easily as I got assistance from a family friend who was here in Canada.

My greatest challenge was getting a good job as I had to take up survival jobs for 9 months while I was studying for my Investment funds in Canada (IFIC) examination. I passed the examination and exactly one year after I landed in Canada got a job in one of the top 5 banks in Canada.

My advice to new and intending immigrants is to keep searching for jobs in their field of expertise and to network with as many people as possible.
